Yak-3UA

After visiting the Museum of Flying in 1990, Sergei Yakovlev, son of the famous designer Alexander S. Yakovlev, reached an agreement with Flight Magic to put the famed Yak 3 fighter back into limited production.  

Reconditioned Allison V-1710 engines, designated Allison 2L, driving a 3 blade Hamilton Standard propeller would be used.  Aircraft assembly was to be a the Strela plant at Orenburg.

This aircraft, serial #1, is in the colors of Comdnt. Louis Delfino of the famed Free French unit Normandie-Niemen that flew alongside units of the Russian Air Force from late 1942 until June 1945.
